| Railing goes in. |
It was a waiting game on the fire until mid-afternoon. While we waited, Randall and I worked on putting up the railing - well mostly him. I spent time mowing grass around the house, emptying gas cans (into my truck) moving propane tanks etc.

| Deck wetted down. |
By 3:30 we'd cleaned everything off the deck and wetted it down in anticipation of the fire breaking the ridge top. There is an account of the evening in the post

I am referring to June 30 as "Day 0" and July 1st as "Day 1" of the fire.
