Did you have to comply with quantities of rules about water quality, as we did, I wonder? We had to have a sewage treatment plant, not a septic tank; and there are lots more new regulations just coming into force.
We did have to go through a certification process. Plans for the septic system had to be approved by the county planning office and then there was an inspection of the system before it was covered up with dirt. Sewage treatment plant? Sounds rather more involved.
