Shortly after the painters left, Penelope repainted the doors, all seven of them. She made them less red, more orangey. She also repainted the loft bedroom which was was too yellow. A lot of work for the weekend, but the doors are closer to our conception and the loft bedroom looks much better. Working on the house gave her a new sense of ownership.
To see the difference in th door colors, compare the photo above with this an earlier photo of the front door, before the trim around the window was painted. If you click on the photo above to enlarge it, you can see that P left the red trim around the window.
Some people think red and orange "clash", but we are inspired by our Tibetan friends.
I think the new colour is just right; and whoever said red and orange clash? How I hope you put pink and purple petunias beside the door to outrage them. The roof is orangeing up nicely.
